She said that a man was following her since she had escaped from the apartment and she received veiled threats through WhatsApp.

The young woman had very dilated pupils, surely from having consumed some toxic substance and she cried inconsolably while she asked the social worker for help.

As a memory of her passage through that invisible space of prostitution, the minor had an STD and an unwanted pregnancy.

She needed to have an abortion.

To vomit from her bowels the small sack of human-skinned rapes whose heartbeat would have been difficult to hear given the din of Maria's organ, which galloped at great speed because of fear, stress, worry and the shame.

The normal thing in these cases is for the social worker to initiate a protocol that involves, first of all, accompanying the victim to a specialized health resource.

And I wonder, wouldn't it have been better if they had accompanied her back to the floor where they prostituted her? normal in prostitution) and to consume drugs with them, one by one and with great delicacy, they will rest their ears on the still not very swollen belly of María and listen to the heartbeat coming from inside.

Of course, given the refusal of such kind men, María could have an abortion in our country without having to seriously endanger her life... A very different fate from the one suffered by poor Sofía, who also came to this same association, in her case, referred by the National Police.

Sofía, Paraguayan, was raped by her neighbor when she was 13 years old and forced to give birth.

There she cut her life short forever.

Just recently abandoned her dolls, she already changed the diapers of an unwanted child.

In Paraguay, as in many other countries, men who do not love women decide over the lives, bodies and sexuality of the female sex, whom they consider inferior.

Even girl survivors of rape are condemned.

And this directly affects the recruitment of women and minors for the prostitution market.

Paraguay is the second nationality (behind Romania) of women victims of sex trafficking in Spain.

It is no coincidence that most of the women recruited in that country are very young and with minor children in their care.

Nothing makes you more vulnerable than this situation.

Without tools or resources, they accept the offer to come to this side of the pond, either with the deception of a job in the hotel business or directly for prostitution.

And, even if they haven't done it before, do they have any other alternative?

Sofía, like many of her compatriots, agreed to come to Spain to have an opportunity for herself and for that son left in the care of her family in her country.

Her parents used the minor as a hostage so that Sofia would send them more and more money.

Thus, a victim of the greed of pimps and relatives, she survived in captivity in the same place where she was sexually exploited for months.

But if she had decided to have an abortion in her small town in the interior of Paraguay, she would still have been deprived of liberty, because, despite being raped, the risks of a pregnancy in a girl of only 13 years old, whose body was not yet fully developed, the penalty would be up to five years in prison.

Or, even worse, perhaps Sofía would have died trying, like so many other minors condemned by men who don't love women.
