A Metz gynecologist has been indicted for sexual assault after complaints from several of his patients, the Metz prosecutor told AFP on Tuesday, February 7.

A gynecologist from Metz was indicted on February 3 for sexual assault and violence allegedly committed between 2014 and 2022 in the context of his professional activity
,” Metz prosecutor Yves Badorc told AFP.
“
He was placed under judicial control with a ban on contacting the complainants
,” continued the magistrate.

The doctor, who disputes the alleged facts, is not subject to a ban on the exercise of his profession.
His lawyer, Me Guillaume Royer, explained in the newspaper

that his client is accused of “
breast palpations which are partially not formal
”.
Contacted by AFP, the board declined to comment further.
