Yesterday (Monday) a preliminary investigation was held regarding the crossing of the Israeli citizen from Israel to Lebanon last Sunday.

The investigation shows that when the suspect crossed the weather conditions were difficult.

The suspect was not identified due to human error and a technological malfunction in the operational and final reporting system.

The conclusions of the investigation will be produced and studied immediately.

As I recall, the Israeli citizen crossed the border fence from Israeli territory to Lebanon in the Metula area.

The IDF spokesperson stated that the details of the incident are clear and that the incident is being investigated. The incident was discovered after a few hours, only when the Lebanese announced that the citizen was being investigated by the local security services.
