About fifty people affiliated with the GUD met on Sunday for a commemoration ceremony between the graves of

It is an obscure ceremony with fascist and anti-Semitic overtones which attracted the attention of the police, already well informed on social networks, and which the intelligence services are looking into.

Sunday, around 4:30 p.m., crews from the 20th century police station carried out a strange control operation between the 650 graves in the pretty municipal cemetery of Charonne, rue de Bagnolet (20th).

Around the grave of the fatal Robert Brasillach, "figure" of the French collaboration, the police came face to face with about fifty men.

As on each anniversary of his death, activists - mostly young, hooded and dressed in black, largely known to the police - came to "recollect" at his grave to the chagrin of the authorities, associations of deportees and veterans.

Five people with “S” data

Officials from the Specialized Services Sub-Directorate (SDSS) and XX agents, accompanied by a canine unit, landed with dogs and carried out 51 identity checks.

One of the suspects, in possession of a knife, was taken into custody.

Another, without identification, was taken to the station.

Five of them had an “S” index.

"Fifty people, it could be likened to a demonstration and it was well worth a police check to see if it did not create a disturbance to public order", justifies this Tuesday Éric Pliez, the mayor (DVG) of the 20th arrondissement .

The City, owner of the cemetery, deplores an “anti-Republican rally”.

In the bushes of the cemetery, the police got their hands on sticks, a knife, an identity flag and a spray paint can.

On Twitter, the GUD, a far-right French student organization in the crosshairs of justice, claimed the "ceremony" with a photo of its activists, blurred, bragging in front of the flowery tomb of Brasillach.
