There are still many unanswered questions about the planned community center in Paunzhausen.

We are currently busy deciding what and where to find space in the former Raiffeisenbank.

Paunzhausen

– The desires are so far clear: It should be a community hall for cultural and social purposes – versatile and also a bit representative.

After all, 650,000 euros were put on the table just for the purchase of the property.

There are already drafts, i.e. variants for the expansion, i.e. whether the hall should be on the top floor or on the ground floor.

It was developed by the Freising architectural office Deppisch.

However, opinions on the matter have differed widely in recent years.

Among other things, because the rifle club zur Linde, which has so far been housed in the "Liebhardt" inn, is looking for a new place to stay in the long term.

It is planned to set up a new shooting range in the basement of the community center.

As Mayor Hans Daniel explained, there has already been a local appointment with a representative of the government of Upper Bavaria, after which there may be state funding for it.

Phillip Stadler, CSU municipal councilor and vice-chairman of the rifle club, confirmed that there was just about enough space.

According to the distances, the necessary six shooting ranges are conceivable.

There would even be enough space for a small lounge.

However, only with a kind of "serving kitchen", as it was called.

However, Daniel made it clear that leasing, i.e. professional hospitality, is probably out of the question, because then there would no longer be any funding for the project.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

The sticking point in the use of the basement by the rifle club turned out to be that no more toilets could then be accommodated there.

"Actually, we need the whole basement," argued Daniel.

Toilets so none.

In any case, they would have to be accommodated somewhere else, for example on the ground floor.

Possible in the event that you want to accommodate the citizens' hall there, whether with or without an extension.

If the attic were to be converted into a community hall, there would be space for toilets on the ground floor.

"I'm totally against it upstairs," Annette Baier (FW) made her point of view clear with regard to the toilets.

According to recent considerations, an elevator and an attached entrance area could also play a role in the distribution of space.

Birgit Kasper (BL/FW) basically spoke out in favor of involving the rifle club.

But she asked for "a cost estimate first" before thinking about it any further.

Apparently not the first time, because Daniel replied: "You've always been stubborn!"

The costs have not yet been discussed

There is no idea what the various variants should cost.

When asked by FT, Daniel said that it was still at the very beginning: "We haven't talked about a euro yet." In the committee, however, the head of the town hall warned: "Don't shy away from the decision." Annette Baier emphasized towards the end of the debate once: "The issue of the toilets should be discussed thoroughly." So it should remain exciting.
