47 people from the pro-democracy camp are suspected of planning the "35+" primary elections of the pro-democracy camp in 2020. 16 of the defendants have denied conspiracy to subvert state power. The case continues today (7th) in the West Kowloon Court (interim High Court).
The prosecution began to read out the opening statement yesterday, and mentioned that Dai Yaoting and Au Nuoxuan, etc., had started holding press conferences and publishing articles in newspapers during the period from March to April of that year, mentioning that "more than half of the parliament" strived for "35 The idea of the "+" seat, Dai also mentioned that this is a "constitutional weapon with great lethality". Although the trial of the case only started at 10:00 this morning, at around 7:00 p.m. yesterday, there were already people queuing up outside the court for seats. The police also sent a large number of police officers to the scene to maintain order. The judiciary now has 410 public seats, and the observers can watch the live broadcast of the trial in a special area of the court.

The charge alleges that the defendants conspired to subvert state power between July 1, 2020 and January 7, 2021.
16 defendants pleaded not guilty.
