47 people from the pro-democracy camp are suspected of planning the "35+" primary elections of the pro-democracy camp in 2020. 16 of the defendants have denied conspiracy to subvert state power. The case continues today (7th) in the West Kowloon Court (interim High Court).

The prosecution began to read out the opening statement yesterday, and mentioned that Dai Yaoting and Au Nuoxuan, etc., had started holding press conferences and publishing articles in newspapers during the period from March to April of that year, mentioning that "more than half of the parliament" strived for "35 The idea of the "+" seat, Dai also mentioned that this is a "constitutional weapon with great lethality". He also mentioned the concept of "soliciting speculation" in a newspaper article. The press conference of "Hong Kong 01" will follow up the report.

The chief prosecutor read the opening statement after the court session. He pointed out that after Dai Yaoting first proposed to seize more than half of the seats in December 2019, he had published articles in many newspapers and put forward the concept of "soliciting speculation".

On April 28, 2020, Dai published an article in "Apple Daily" titled "Ten Steps to Speculation is the Fate of Hong Kong", detailing the timetable and roadmap of the "Ten Steps to Speculation":

The first step (July-August 2020): The eligibility of large-scale DQ democrats in the government to run for the Legislative Council, including: Members of the current Legislative Council, will be filled by the unsuccessful Plan B candidates.

The second step (September 2020): Due to the intervention of the two offices (the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government and the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office) and DQ, more Hong Kong people are encouraged to vote for the pro-democracy camp. With the help of voting strategies, the pro-democracy camp can win 35 or more seats.

The third step (October 2020): The chief executive and the Department of Justice start legal procedures to DQ pro-democracy members, but the legal process will take time, and the democrats continue to dominate the parliament.

The fourth step (October 2020 to April 2021): All the government's funding applications to the Legislative Council have been rejected, and the government can only maintain general operations.

Step 5 (May 2021): The Legislative Council vetoes the budget, the chief executive needs to dissolve the Legislative Council, and the government can only maintain government operations with temporary funding.

Step 6 (October 2021): Legislative Council re-election, democrats may need to send Plan C primary election, because Plan B may be DQ, but still maintain more than 35 seats

Step 7 (November 2021): The Legislative Council once again vetoed the budget, resulting in the resignation of the chief executive and a shutdown of the government.

The eighth step (December 2021): The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress declares a state of emergency in Hong Kong. The central government directly applies the National Security Law to Hong Kong, dissolves the Legislative Council, and establishes a provisional Legislative Council. The next Chief Executive will be elected through consultation.

Pro-democracy leaders were arrested on a mass scale.

The ninth step (after December 2021): The street protests in Hong Kong society have become more intense, and the suppression is very bloody. Hong Kong people launched three strikes, bringing society to a standstill.

Step ten (after January 2022): Western countries impose political and economic sanctions on the CCP.

If Hong Kong people are deprived of freedom, they will be forced to engage in speculation

Later, the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government issued a document condemning the idea of "soliciting speculation". Dai wrote an article in response on May 5, 2020, saying that if the central government tries to forcibly take over Hong Kong and deprive Hong Kong people of their freedom and self-esteem, Hong Kong people will be forced to go to the opposite direction. Embracing the road of "soliciting speculation" will make the originally law-abiding and moderate Hong Kong people gradually turn to civil disobedience or even front-line demonstrations.

More than 100 people lined up outside the West Kowloon Court early in the morning for the public seats.
