Samidoon Association sends a shipment of medicines to those affected by the earthquake in Lattakia

Today, as part of its “Contribute with Us” initiative, the Steadfast Despite the Wounds Association in Homs, in cooperation with the Wadi University branch of the National Union of Syrian Students, sent a shipment of first aid, chronic disease medicines, and medical supplies, to support those affected by the earthquake in Lattakia Governorate.

Dr. Mohsen Tarraf, the owner of the “Contribute with Us” initiative, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that the shipment will be delivered to the concerned authorities in Lattakia, and it includes first-aid and chronic disease medicines, through what was donated to the association’s pharmacy and shipped periodically to be distributed to those affected by the earthquake.

Tarraf added: A field pharmacy will be opened in Lattakia under the supervision of cadres of pharmacists and doctors, calling on all medical actors in Homs governorate to intensify their contributions and increase their donations to support the initiative.

For his part, a member of the Central Council of the National Union of Syrian Students, Ghadir Bashir, praised the humanitarian and national goals of the initiative through effective cooperation with the Association Steadfast Despite the Wounds, and the arrival of the Good Aid Convoy “1” to Lattakia, while the head of the student body of the Faculty of Dentistry, Al-Wadi University branch of Al-Ittihad Fouad indicated Saqr commended the contribution of the Al-Wadi University branch and their presence in Lattakia since the first day of the disaster and their work as volunteer teams and donors, as in-kind materials were donated and distributed to those affected by the earthquake.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Society, Bashir Al-Ali, indicated that shipments of medicines will continue to be sent to those affected by the earthquake, and they will be delivered to the needy.
