Certain videos on his mobile phone apparently interested him more than an important debate in the Belgrade parliament: Serbian MP Zvonimir Stević was filmed watching porn in the plenary hall.
Now he is giving up his mandate.
Videos of the incident have been circulating on social media for days.
It shows how Stević barely disguised plays different porn at his seat in the parliament.
In the meantime, a possible agreement between Belgrade and Pristina was being discussed in the parliament.
The topic is explosive, and tensions have recently increased again between Serbia and Kosovo.
Serbia continues to regard Kosovo as its own national territory, and the independence of the region is not recognized by all EU states.
Numerous Western states have been pushing for a normalization of relations between Serbia and Kosovo for some time.
There was even a scuffle between MPs during the parliamentary debate on the agreement.
The now resigned 65-year-old Stević was born in Kosovo and is a longtime member of the Serbian Socialists, who are part of the incumbent governing coalition.
According to the Serbian media, the resignation was not voluntary.
As the newspaper »Blic« reported, SPS party leader Ivica Dadic had to influence Stević and convince him of the office.
