Serbia expressed its heartfelt condolences to Syria and its people for the victims of the earthquake that occurred at dawn yesterday, leaving hundreds of victims.
In an interview with Serbia's state TV, which was published on the Serbian government's website, Prime Minister Ana Brnabić sent a message of condolence, in which she expressed, on behalf of the government and people in Serbia, deep condolences to Syria and its friendly people, because of the earthquake that struck the region.
She also expressed warm condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured, noting that Serbia intends to provide the necessary assistance.
In Pakistan, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed, in a telegram posted on his Twitter account and reported by the “Associated Press of Pakistan,” his “heartfelt condolences and warm and sincere sympathy to the government and people of Syria who have suffered heavy human and material losses as a result of the devastating earthquake.”
While the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed in a statement its deep sorrow over the innocent victims of the earthquake, expressing Islamabad's readiness to provide all possible support in the field of humanitarian efforts.
The earthquake that struck northern Syria at dawn yesterday resulted in 812 deaths and 1,449 injuries in the governorates of Aleppo, Latakia, Hama, Idlib and Tartus, with an indefinite toll.
