Within the framework of the emergency response of government institutions in Tartous governorate to contribute to providing aid to those affected by the earthquake that struck Syria at dawn yesterday, the Syrian Trade Foundation began preparing 800 food baskets to be sent to Lattakia governorate, provided that other baskets are prepared for the governorates of Aleppo and Hama, according to the plan of the Ministry of Internal Trade and Tartous governorate.
The Syrian Director of Trade in Tartous Governorate, Mahmoud Saqr, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that in order to mitigate the effects of the earthquake on those affected, work has been done to prepare various food baskets that include canned food of all kinds, olive oil, ghee, and others, in addition to 800 bags of water of one and a half liters to be distributed to the people.
