The Arab and international popular campaign to lift the siege on Syria called in an appeal to the honorable nation and the free people of the world to lift the unjust Western blockade imposed on it, so that aid and relief can reach it after the devastating earthquake that hit it.
The appeal issued in a statement on the campaign read: “To the honorable people of our nation and to the free people of the world, Syria is in dire need today to lift the unjust Western blockade on it so that aid and relief can reach it, in addition to the need to liberate its natural wealth of oil and wheat by lifting the hand of the Americans and their allies on it, especially after this crisis.” The terrifying natural disaster that befell it as a result of the devastating earthquake and its aftershocks and repercussions.
The campaign added: “The Syrian people are suffering greatly from the difficult economic situation and natural disasters as a result of the devastating earthquakes and the harsh cold weather, in addition to an acute shortage of fuel.” To the Syrian people who have never been stingy in extending a helping hand, whether Arab or non-Arab.
In Jordan, the head of the Society Against Zionism and Racism, the academic and the released prisoner, Dr. Azmi Mansour, called on his country's government, all Arab governments, all civil society institutions, and every free and honorable Arab to come forward to offer a helping hand to Syria after the devastating earthquake.
Mansour called for lifting the unjust siege on Syria, expressing his deepest condolences to the Syrian people for the earthquake victims, wishing recovery for the injured.
