Damascus, SANA- The Federation of Charitable Associations has started in Damascus, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and Damasc Governorate

The Federation of Charitable Associations in Damascus, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and the Damascus Governorate, began collecting in-kind donations of medicines, medical equipment and foodstuffs, and preparing a group of convoys to deliver them to those affected by the earthquake.

The Director of Social Affairs and Labor in Damascus, Daleen Fahd, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that an operations room has been formed to take advantage of all capabilities and efforts, to secure all medical, health and relief services and care for those affected in the governorates, noting that 3 convoys will be sent during the day while continuing the campaign and collecting donations. For earthquake emergency response.

A member of the Executive Office of the Social Affairs Sector explained that donations are received from Damascus associations, economic activities, and non-governmental institutions, and convoys containing foodstuffs and humanitarian support materials are prepared, and coordination takes place with members of the executive offices in the affected governorates to find out the need, moment by moment, and conduct convoys to them successively.

The President of the Federation of Charitable Societies, Saria Al-Sirwan, pointed out that the initiatives and donations reached the headquarters of the Federation according to the capabilities of each party, association and person, explaining that the Federation is on constant alert to deliver aid to those affected, calling on all parties and associations to contribute urgently to the campaign.

Member of the Board of Directors of the Union, Haitham Saltji, explained that the first truck of the collected donations will launch today, loaded with 2 tons of milk, clothing, foodstuffs and taboos.

In turn, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saed Association, Issam Habbal, indicated that the work is carried out within a team around the clock, and the resources available within the federation are collected to be mobilized and sent to the governorates, with a large number of volunteers ready to contribute with all their capabilities to help those affected, adding that there are a large number of donors who provide what they can Which shows the morals and love of the Syrian people.
