The Iranian Consulate in Aleppo has equipped more than one mechanism to participate in the removal of rubble in the areas affected by the earthquake, in addition to trucks loaded with relief materials that will be distributed to the affected people.
The Consul of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Aleppo, Salman Nawab al-Nouri, affirmed that Iran always stands by Syria and will provide all possible assistance to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people and overcome the repercussions of the earthquake.
Al-Nouri said in a statement: “Since the first moments after the devastating earthquake occurred, the consulate began work, and we distributed more than 3,000 meals and 8,000 blankets. The engineering team also began the work of removing rubble and helping the people in Aleppo, amid full mobilization of medical and emergency teams equipped with spare medicines.” and 15 ambulances to provide assistance to the people.”
Al-Nouri added, “More than 3,000 meals will be distributed later, fuel will be secured for the vehicles of the relief teams and hospitals, and 15 engineering vehicles will be brought in to remove the rubble, in addition to the capabilities and aid that arrived from Iran to Syria through Damascus Airport.”
An Iranian plane arrived at Damascus International Airport last night, loaded with 45 tons of humanitarian aid, including blankets, tents, medicines, foodstuffs, and other supplies needed by those affected by the earthquake. Two Iranian aid planes will also arrive later at the airports of Aleppo and Latakia.
