The number of earthquake victims in Lattakia governorate rose this morning to 389 deaths and 746 injuries.
In a statement to SANA reporter, the Secretary-General of the governorate, Refaat Muhammad, affirmed the continuation of efforts to remove the rubble and to search for survivors from the destroyed buildings as a result of the earthquake.
In turn, the head of the Jableh City Council, Ahmed Qandil, stated in a similar statement that there have been 182 deaths in Jableh so far, and more than 200 injuries, including women and children.
