Today, the Turkish Ministry of Health announced that the number of victims of the devastating earthquake that struck southern Turkey yesterday has risen to 5,434.
"The number of injured has so far reached 31,777," Turkish Health Minister Fakhruddin Koca said in a press conference.
A previous toll indicated that 3,381 people were killed, and 20,426 others were injured as a result of the earthquake, in an indefinite toll.
