The Traffic Department at the Ministry of the Interior announced that a number of roads in the governorates of Damascus, Hama, Lattakia, and Quneitra are impassable or passable with difficulty, due to snowfall and accumulation or ice formation.
And the administration indicated in its bulletin that all roads in the governorates are passable, except for the Damascus-Homs international road and the Damascus-Beirut road, which are passable with difficulty due to the accumulation of snow.
Rif Dimashq Governorate, all public roads in the governorate are passable except for:
Yabroud area, Al-Jabbah Yabroud road - Maarat Yabroud road - Asal Al-Ward Rankous road and Al-Jebbeh Asal Al-Ward road are impassable due to the accumulation of snow.
Al-Tal area All roads leading to Saydnaya - Akbar Bada road - Hafir Al-Fawqa are impassable due to the accumulation of snow, and the Al-Tal Runkos Hosh Arab road and Al-Tal Menin road are passable with difficulty due to the accumulation of snow.
Qatana area: Arna-Al-Raymah-Baqassem-Qalaat Jandal-Qatna road is impassable due to the accumulation of snow.
The road of Hana Ain al-Sha'ra - Khirbet al-Suda - Hana Darbel Arna road is impassable due to the accumulation of snow.
Al-Zabadani area: All roads leading to Al-Zabadani area are impassable due to snowfall and accumulation.
In the Al-Qutayfa area: Jabdin Maaloula Ain Al-Tineh road is passable with difficulty due to the accumulation of snow.
Al-Nabak area: Al-Nabak Al-Mushrifah road is not passable due to the accumulation of snow, and the Al-Nabak road, Al-Sahel Al-Marah, Garajir, Deir Attia, is passable with difficulty due to the accumulation of snow.
In Hama Governorate: All public roads in the governorate are passable except for:
Jourin-Slenfah Road is passable with difficulty due to the accumulation of snow and ice formation, and the Shatha-Jubeh-Burghal road is not passable due to the accumulation of snow.
In Lattakia Governorate: All roads in the governorate are passable, except for the roads leading to Slenfeh district, which are not passable due to the accumulation of snow.
The road of Juba Barghal - Al-Ghab - Juba Barghal-Slenfeh is not passable due to the accumulation of snow, the road to Juba Barghal Al-Qardaha-Markiya - Maqamat Bani Hashem is not passable due to the accumulation of snow, the road to Beit Yashout in Shelly - Maarin - Batmoush is passable with difficulty due to the accumulation of snow.
In Quneitra Governorate: All roads in the governorate are passable, except for Hadar Ain al-Tineh road, which is passable with difficulty due to the accumulation of snow.
The Traffic Department advised drivers to use fog lights, check brakes, reduce speed at turns, slopes and road junctions, and drive carefully to avoid accidents, noting that it had allocated phone numbers 5422703 - 5411365 to inquire about road conditions.
