The Syrian embassies in Belarus and France called on our community and expatriate actors to donate to help those affected by the earthquake, which resulted in hundreds of victims.

The embassy in Belarus said in a statement today: “Given the catastrophic situation that our country is going through as a result of the devastating earthquake, and within the framework of the government’s emergency action and alert plan, to mobilize all capabilities to face the repercussions of the earthquake, the embassy in Minsk calls on citizens residing in Belarus to participate and show solidarity with their families.” In Syria, and extending a helping hand to them, to console them and alleviate their suffering, by contributing and taking the initiative to donate in the embassy building in Minsk.”

The embassy in France also announced the organization of a fundraising campaign, in solidarity with those affected by the earthquake, and called upon all expatriates and expatriate actors to participate in this campaign to contribute to mitigating the repercussions of the earthquake.

The embassy invited those wishing to participate in the campaign to visit its consular section throughout the week.
