Two Iraqi planes arrived at Damascus International Airport carrying relief aid for those affected by the earthquake.
Dr. Osama Mahdi Ghanem, head of the Arab department in the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in a statement to SANA reporter: What befell Syria affected all of us, and Syria will emerge strong as it always was, pointing out that the two Iraqi planes each carry about 70 tons of foodstuffs, medical supplies, blankets and necessary supplies.
Ghanem pointed out that there is an Iraqi air bridge to provide humanitarian aid to the Syrian brothers, and tomorrow a fuel convoy will depart from Baghdad.
