Despite a popularity curve that hardly exceeds 40%, rejected by the Republicans without managing to arouse real enthusiasm among his own voters, the American president is however preparing to announce his candidacy for a second term soon.
At 80, the oldest president in US history intends to push that record even further and run again in 2024.
Two years into office, Biden considers his record a success.
He believes that the economic situation is improving, that inflation is slowing and that the prospect of a recession is receding.
He asserts that his presidency has carried out historic reforms, that the efforts made over the past two years to create jobs, promote the energy transition and improve national infrastructure will bear fruit, and that the country's deep divisions can be overcome
