The dams spread around the city of Al-Malikiyah in the far north-east of Al-Hasakah governorate witnessed an additional increase in water reserves, as a result of the continued rainfall and the flow of valleys and cascades that flow into it.
And the Director of Water Resources, Eng. Abdel Aziz Amin, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that as a result of the continuation of rainfall and its abundance in some areas since the beginning of this week and to date, there has been an additional increase in the water reserves in the dams of the city of Al-Malikiyah, after an increase occurred yesterday of nearly one million cubic meters in water. Al-Safan, Al-Hakimiya and Al-Mansoura dams.
The Director of Cubic Water Resources indicated that the additional increase occurred in the Al-Jawadiya Dam, amounting to two million and 500 thousand meters, the Al-Safan Dam 100 thousand cubic meters, and the Mansoura Dam 100 thousand cubic meters, pointing out that the valiant martyr dam also increased as a result of the flow of the valleys that flow into it, as amounted to about 3 million cubic metres.
It is noteworthy that the precipitation contributed to the flow of the Zarkan River at a rate of 3 cubic meters per second, and the Jaghgg River.
