Al-Hawash Private University and Dr. Farzat Ayoub University Hospital in Wadi Al-Nadhara, Homs, in cooperation with the National Union of Syrian Students, launched a relief campaign for the affected and afflicted, in the governorates of Hama, Aleppo, Jableh and Lattakia.

Dr. Hala Deeb, President of Al-Hawash University, confirmed in a statement to SANA reporter that what befell our people in the Syrian governorates as a result of the earthquake is our affliction and pain, which prompted us directly to form a relief team, whose goal is to reach those stricken areas and provide all forms of necessary support.

In turn, Dr. Muhammad Al-Naqri, Dean of the Faculty of Human Medicine at Al-Hawash Private University and Director of Farzat University Hospital, confirmed that two ambulances and 48 male and female students were sent from the Faculty of Human Medicine at the university carrying about 550 bags of serum and various medical materials, in addition to a medical, nursing, anesthesia and resuscitation staff consisting of 16 specialists. Where the relief team provided everything possible to the injured in the field.

Yousef Muhammad, head of the Student Union branch at the university, indicated that the immediate response was made by the students of the Faculty of Human Medicine to provide the maximum possible to help the afflicted in Hama and Jableh, and we were at their side by donating blood, removing rubble and transporting the injured to hospitals for treatment, stressing the importance of the role of youth in work. Voluntary and relief at the national level.
