The warning messages are multiplying.
After several internal meetings organized in recent days, the president LR of the Senate, Gérard Larcher, and the leader of the senators Les Républicains, Bruno Retailleau, have publicly called on their troops to “
responsibility
” concerning the pension reform.
While differences are still being expressed on the side of certain right-wing deputies, and in particular Aurélien Pradié, they recall that these are the “
values
” of their political family.
Gérard Larcher thus spoke directly to the deputy of Lot, on France Inter: "
I tell Aurélien Pradié that he belongs to a political family which has defined a certain number of values: work, intergenerational solidarity, mastery of public account.
“For him, it is beneficial that Aurélien Pradié makes “
advance
” the text in the negotiation.
But he adds: “
I think that if he really feels part of our political family, he must at some point make the decision to pass the law.

For his part, Bruno Retailleau, on RTL, expressed a concern, even a warning.
He considers that “
what is at stake is the right and its contradictions
”.
“
I think we can die of our contradictions, I think we are there.
“This is so, according to the elected Vendée, the credibility and “
usefulness
” of the right.
Retailleau calls on right-wing “leaders” to speak out
For Bruno Retailleau, “
being on the right is not just about being a little less on the left than the left
”.
On the contrary, it means making “
clear
” choices as to the desired “
model of society
”.
“
Do we want to try to protect our social model?
Do we want to get poorer or, with a greater quantity of work, to resume the path of prosperity?
Do we want massive or uncontrolled immigration?
“, thus enumerated the elected official, adding that in “
this pension reform, everything is linked
”.
"
Everything is played out in retirement: prosperity, the social model, the question of immigration... You have to know what France you want tomorrow. "
“To put forward these arguments, the elected also invites “
all our great leaders
” to “
express themselves
”, like Laurent Wauquiez, designated as many within the LR as the natural candidate for 2027.

Despite this assumed support for pension reform, Gérard Larcher also challenged the government on the need to take into account the French mobilized in the streets.
The president of the upper house notes among them “
the feeling for a long time of being a little outside the Republic
”.
“
And that is something that we have to take into account.
He says he looks at it “
with attention, and somewhere with a particular sensitivity
”.
At the microphone of Europe 1, the president of the Hauts-de-France region, Xavier Bertrand, even went further.
Referring to the “
improvements
” essential in his eyes, the elected official spoke of “
a divorce between the government and the French
”, possible “
if this reform passes without the conditions that I can propose
”.
"
The French, I believe they are not resentful, but they are not amnesic
," he warned.
