Many Cuban, Indian and Argentine personalities and organizations have expressed their full solidarity with Syria following the earthquake that hit it, which led to hundreds of victims and injuries, calling for lifting the blockade and the unfair Western sanctions imposed on it.

The General Coordinator of the International Network for the Defense of Humanity in Cuba, José Ernesto Novas, said in a statement to SANA's correspondent in Havana: The Cuban people are fully in solidarity with the Syrian people in these difficult moments that they are going through as a result of the earthquake that struck areas in Syria, and this solidarity comes from a people who are also suffering. From the unjust blockade by US imperialism and knows the consequences caused by the blockade when natural disasters occur.

Novas added, “We, as Cubans, call for lifting the American blockade and the unilateral coercive measures imposed on Syria,” noting that human solidarity with Syria must be embodied in these difficult circumstances.

In turn, the President of the Arab Federation in Cuba, Jaime Prover, expressed the solidarity and support of the Arab communities of Syria and its people, calling for the immediate lifting of the unilateral coercive measures imposed on them, which affect the lives of Syrian citizens and increase their suffering.

For her part, the Argentine journalist and coordinator of the International Committee for Peace, Justice and Dignity for Peoples, Graciela Ramirez, affirmed the sincere solidarity of the peoples of Latin America with the Syrian people and government as a result of this tragedy they are living through, stressing that it is illogical and inhumane to maintain the blockade and sanctions by the United States and European countries on Syria. in such circumstances and should therefore be lifted immediately under such circumstances.

The Global Trade and Technology Council in India expressed its deep sympathy and condolences to the Syrian people following the tragedy of the earthquake that struck Syria.

"We express our full solidarity with the Syrian people, and we are ready to provide assistance at this difficult time," Gaurav Gupta, the council's president, said in a condolence message, calling for the lifting of the unjust and unjustified sanctions imposed on Syria to allow the provision of aid and to contribute to the reconstruction of this country and to support its people.
