The Rebbe Rabbi Yosiah Pinto met last night (Tuesday) with senior government officials, Defense Minister Yoav Galant and Foreign Minister Eli Cohen. The meetings took place as part of Rabbi Pinto's surprise visit to Israel, on the occasion of the happy engagement of his brother Rabbi Menachem Pinto's daughter, which took place in Jerusalem.

A special relationship exists between Rabbi Pinto and his brother Rabbi Menachem Pinto.
Besides being his brother - Rabbi Menachem helped and helps Rabbi Pinto a lot in all matters of Shuva Israel institutions and in the details and he is his right hand in recent years.

As part of his short visit to Israel, Rabbi Pinto gave a number of Torah lessons that were broadcast live on social networks and selected websites.
As mentioned, before the engagement event, Rabbi Pinto met with Defense Minister Galant and greeted him very warmly.
"The Holy One, blessed be He, chose you as a special messenger to protect the people of Israel and protect them from the many enemies at home and abroad. You are special. All your life you give your life for Klal Yisrael, and therefore you have a great divine help," Rabbi Pinto praised the Minister of Defense.

Rabbi Pinto added: "The nation of Israel has gained a security officer who is proud of his Judaism and the Israeli tradition. You are the example and role model of a warm Jew with deep emotion and strong roots."
After that, Rabbi Pinto met with Foreign Minister Eli Cohen, whom he publicly praised with great warmth: "You sacrifice your soul for the people of Israel. The Holy One, blessed be He, will give you great success, contentment, and strength to succeed in all the great actions you do for the sake of the entire people of Israel."
"We need to learn from you how a Jew should behave. You have noble and special qualities and great wisdom," Rabbi Pinto added, praising Foreign Minister Cohen.

Many rabbis and rebbes participated in the engagement, including Rabbi Pinto's father, Rabbi Chaim Pinto, rabbi of the city of Ashdod, and Rabbi Shalom Arush, head of the "Hot Shel Chesed" institutions, public figures, members of the Knesset, mayors and a large crowd.

At the end of the event, Rabbi Pinto returned to his residence in the city of Rabat - the capital of Morocco, and on Thursday of this week, he is expected to arrive at the ancient cemetery in the city of Essaouira in Morocco, to visit the grave of his elder Rabbi Chaim Pinto the Great ZIA and to pray for Clal Am Yisrael.
