A 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit southeastern Turkey on Monday (6th), killing more than 7,800 people. The international community has provided assistance to Turkey, including China, Taiwan, Europe and the United States and other places.
The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government today (8th) sent a search and rescue team composed of 59 personnel from the Security Bureau, Fire Services Department, Immigration Department and Department of Health to Turkey to assist in the search and rescue work at the earthquake site.
