The Director of the Education Bureau, Cai Ruolian, responded to the incident today (8th), saying that she has not watched the documentary and knows that the school has set up a crisis team to arrange support for the affected teachers and students.
She said that she knew that the film had been suspended on February 6. The bureau has been using different channels, such as the "School Administration Manual" to remind schools to ensure the purpose and method of collecting data, the use of data, access and Disclosure etc. are in compliance with the Privacy Ordinance.

The Office of the Privacy Commissioner issued a press release on Monday (6th) stating that it was concerned about the incident and had contacted the Ying Hua Girls' School to learn more about it.
The PCPD stated that no relevant complaints or inquiries have been received as of today. Anyone who suspects that their personal data privacy has been violated and can provide prima facie evidence may lodge a complaint with the PCPD.
