Sharona Partners Group in cooperation with the Municipality of Ofakim and the Or Movement will operate the new innovation center that covers an area of approximately 2,400 square meters and includes joint work areas for high-tech companies

The first shared office complex located in the West of the Negev does not fall below the level of those we are used to seeing in Tel Aviv.

In the initial phase, 800 square meters of offices were built, and at the end of the process, a total of 2,400 square meters of shared offices are expected to be built. For the first time, the center offers a new model of office rental, alongside agricultural experimental areas, where it will be possible to establish greenhouses, crops, plantings and fields, And all - adjacent to the offices.

The new center will also operate an acceleration program led by Sharona Partners. The group has been successfully operating various acceleration programs for 4 years, and in the group's portfolio there are already 7 Israeli unicorns and about ninety other companies. Sharona Partners has offices in Israel, New York, Miami, San Francisco and

Paris.

A training center for high-tech professions is already operating in the complex, which includes courses in programming, cyber, design and more, with the aim of making available to the residents of the south options to enter the coveted field of high-tech.

Avi Dichter, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development: "In Israel we are dealing with regional issues regarding food, both regarding the Gaza Strip and regarding the Israeli population. Faced with the alternatives for investments in other strategic areas in Israel, the fact that Ofakim was chosen to become an agro-tech powerhouse is an important milestone in the development of the periphery in Israel The thinking of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Government of Israel is to extend the technology throughout the country. What is happening in Turkey and Syria shows us that the forces of nature prevail over us and strengthens the understanding that the relationship between the countries of the world is important. Even here at home, in everything related to food and environmental security is important To be at the forefront of technology. Since taking office, I am amazed to see the extent of global curiosity in Israeli developments."

"The developments that came out of Ofakim will allow Israel to move towards a safer future in terms of nutrition, and to export the accumulated knowledge to many countries in the world," said Ofakim Mayor Itzik Danino at the ceremony.

"I have no doubt that thanks to a long series of steps we have taken and will take in the future, we will become the agro-tech center of Israel. We are already working on additional projects today: a laboratory complex, an experimental agricultural farm and the Shaked B industrial zone - which is entirely intended for agro-tech factories" .

Recently we also established a campus-tech complex, and the Regavim agricultural elementary school," Danino added. "The whole city will form one big ecosystem, in which academia, employment and education are integrated - side by side.

These projects will provide jobs for hundreds and thousands of workers, who will be able to enjoy quality and lucrative jobs.

With such a job offer - I have no doubt that many families will positively consider moving here, and will find quality employment and quality of life."

The business potential outside of Tel Aviv is enormous and we believe that the southern region will experience a significant business boom in the coming years," added Eitan Pardo-Rokas, business development manager at Sharona Partners. "The opening of the innovation center will affect the entire growth of the city.

We connect employment and culture to the center, hold events and produce activities.

We will build an accelerator in the complex and allow new entrepreneurs to enter the ecosystem we are building."

"Together with the Municipality of Ofakim, Sharona Partners and other partners, we are getting to realize the concept of an 'Equal City', a project that transforms Ofakim into an economically, communally and demographically growing city," signed CEO and founder of the Or Movement, Roni Palmer. "The Or Movement has connected Super-entrepreneurs such as Sharona Partners Leofakim and led to an investment of millions of shekels in the center of innovation and community capital in the city, which is working for momentum in the heart of the community neighborhood "Kibbutz Galuyot".

We note that this is part of a large-scale project that promotes education and encourages companies and enterprises to come to the city.

The cooperation between all the partners on the way positions Ofakim as a city that will specialize in agro-tech at an international level.

This is a holiday, following which thousands of quality jobs and young communities will grow in the horizons.

This is good news for Ofakim, the Negev and Israel."
