Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei, expressed his condolences to the Syrian and Turkish peoples for the victims of the devastating earthquake that occurred yesterday.
Khamenei said during his meeting today with cadres of the Iranian Air Force: "We too have been afflicted with such disasters, and we know how heavy and difficult it is to lose one's family when an earthquake occurs."
Khamenei added, "Officials in Iran have provided support to those affected, and will continue to do so."
Two Iranian planes carrying humanitarian aid for those affected by the earthquake arrived at Damascus and Aleppo international airports.
