As-Suwayda - SANA
The prevailing weather conditions caused malfunctions on nine medium-voltage lines in various regions of As-Suwayda governorate, and power outages in villages and towns that are supplied with electricity.
The general manager of the company, Eng. Ghassan Nasser, indicated in a statement to SANA reporter that the company's workshops fixed the faults at four exits, which are the floor in the western region of the governorate, Umm al-Zaytoun in the Shahba region, the warehouses and the area in the Salkhad region, while work is continuing to repair the rest of the faults on the lines of Namra Shahba, Shaqqa, Karis, Dahr al-Jabal and Kharba.
Eng. Nasser pointed out that the workshops have also repaired, since early morning, hundreds of faults on the low-voltage lines, and are continuing around the clock to repair the rest of them, indicating that the company's workshops and its affiliated departments are in a state of full readiness to deal with any emergency fault on the electrical network.
During the night hours, the As-Suwayda governorate witnessed heavy and accumulated rain and snowfalls in the highlands, in addition to the occurrence of varying thicknesses in some internal areas, such as the city of Shahba.
