This evening, a Libyan plane arrived at Latakia International Airport carrying more than 40 tons of relief, medical and food supplies provided by the General Command of the Libyan Armed Forces.
The Director of the Media Office of the Libyan Armed Forces, Malik Bahzwa, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that the Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, offers his condolences and solidarity with the Syrian people as a result of the earthquake, and based on his instructions, an air bridge was opened to deliver and provide humanitarian aid loaded with a large number of foodstuffs and medicines in addition to To three ambulances, stressing that the air line is open to transport other shipments of aid to the affected areas in Syria.
In turn, the head of the Lattakia Provincial Council, Eng. Tayseer Habib, indicated the need of the Lattakia governorate for this aid in order to help the affected people in the shelters, which meet their needs, and will be distributed through the Office of Social Affairs, Labor and Civil Defense.
The director of Lattakia International Airport, Ziyad Taweel, indicated that all preparations and arrangements have been taken to facilitate the process of receiving aid coming through the airport.
