The Sultanate of Oman announced that it has started operating an air bridge today to transport medical and relief materials to Syria to help in facing the repercussions of the earthquake that struck it the day before yesterday.
And the Omani News Agency stated that, “In compliance with the orders of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, the Sultanate of Oman today started operating an air bridge to transport relief and medical materials to the areas affected by the earthquake that struck the Syrian Arab Republic, to provide aid and assistance to the brothers based on its humanitarian duty.”
Sultan Haitham bin Tariq bin Taimur Al Said, Sultan of Oman, confirmed in a telephone conversation with President Bashar al-Assad yesterday morning that the Sultanate will stand with Syria in all that is necessary to overcome this ordeal, and will send urgent aid to support the Syrian government's efforts to overcome the effects of this crisis.
