A commercial promenade with
90 stores
in 14,000 square meters, offices, a hotel and even a collector's car exhibition area.
All this is planned to be done in the
Canning
area and the images of how the area will look like are already generating expectations among those who live in the nearby neighborhoods and do not have many options for shopping and walking.
This kind of open-air shopping, although more precisely it is a shopping center as has been the strongest trend in that market, will be part of
Meet Pride
, a project that will be located at kilometer 10.5 of the renewed Route 58, approximately 5 kilometers from the center of the town.
"It is only 40 minutes from Buenos Aires and 15 from the Ezeiza International Airport", they point out from the project carried out by Estudio BMA, a team that emerged in the early '90s, when they were completing the last years of the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism of the UBA.
There will be an exhibition sector for classic cars, sports cars and collector motorcycles.
"Within the commercial surface, we have 3 anchors within which
there is a first line supermarket of 1800m2
covered that will have the best proposal in the area", explained Juan Manuel Rozín, Commercial Director of the Developer.
There will also be a 1,000-square-meter gymnasium from a well-known chain with a terrace, as well as a 3,000-square-meter area to stock up on construction and decoration materials.
"We expect the works to begin before the end of the first four months of this year and
we estimate 22 months for the opening,
after the start of the work," Rozín said.
One of the most striking aspects of the project is that within the mall there will be
an area specially dedicated to collecting cars, both classic and sports.
It will have 210 garage spaces so that the owners can safely store the cars and amenities, a sector that will be private.
The Pride Canning project shopping center will be on Route 58.
But there will also be an exhibition area open to the public, which from what can be seen in the images of the project, will be a kind of tour for the public to see up close both high-end vehicles
and rare editions and historical jewels.
It will also have informative and interactive screens to learn more about each of these models.
In a circular-shaped enclosure, the vehicles will be exposed, duly illuminated so that they can be better appreciated, and in the center there will be an area specially dedicated to collector motorcycles, another niche that brings together many fans.
There will be another smaller exhibition point, as a preview, in the outdoor area next to the entrance to the car club.
There will be an exhibition sector for classic cars, sports cars and collector motorcycles.
Meet Canning will also have
an "outdoor" imprint with an eye on the natural environment that frames it.
The central idea is that it be a place where you can spend all day, with a large number of commercial offers within walking distance, in an area where there are not many shopping centers and, in this case, they seek to replace that with an "all-in-one" project. your reach."
Regarding the developer of the project, BMA previously did
El Solar de la Abadía,
in 1995, and that could be cited as an important precedent in the field: "It was an expression of change in the conception and operation of the Shopping-centers installed until then in Buenos Aires".
It currently has offices in Palermo, Santiago de Chile and has alliances with different studios in Peru, Colombia, Paraguay, Bolivia and the US.
