Yemeni political and media parties and figures have called for lifting the unjust siege imposed on Syria, and for standing by its side in its ordeal as a result of the devastating earthquake that struck it.

In exclusive statements to SANA's correspondent in Sana'a, the official spokesman for the Salvation Government, Minister of Information, Dhaifallah al-Shami, said: The tragedy in Syria and Turkey is great, and we offer condolences to the families of all the victims in the two countries, indicating that the human and moral aspect of the regimes is controlled by America and the Zionist lobby.

In turn, Abdullah Salam al-Hakimi, Minister Plenipotentiary at the Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reaffirmed the Yemeni government's solidarity with the Syrian people regarding the humanitarian catastrophe resulting from the devastating earthquake that hit Syria recently, and said: The peak of brutality, barbarism and evil appeared on the face of the West, led by America, in the face of the humanitarian disaster resulting from the earthquake. In Syria, which they are besieging under the so-called “Caesar Act”, and this is the wild west with a black history of exterminating entire peoples that poses a threat to all human life.

For its part, the Union of Yemeni Popular Forces Party submitted a telegram to the Syrian government and people, in which it expressed condolences to the families of the victims and those afflicted by the devastating earthquake, calling on the international community to lift the siege on the brotherly Syrian people, and to provide aid and relief to them.

Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al-Ammari, Acting Secretary-General of the Yemeni Dignity Party, also expressed his condolences to the Syrian people for the victims of the devastating earthquake, calling on the international community to lift the siege and economic sanctions imposed on the Syrian people by America and the West in order to face the repercussions of the earthquake.

Al-Amari called on all countries, governments and international organizations to send urgent humanitarian aid to contribute to the rescue and relief operation in all affected areas as soon as possible, in response to the humanitarian appeal.

The Yemeni writer and journalist Jamal Abdullah Geisel called for Arab solidarity with the Syrian people, leadership and state, to overcome the ordeal, lift the siege, support the Syrian state and remove all the obstacles it faces to restore its active role in construction and development and remove all the damages of the disaster it is facing, once again full solidarity with Syria towards the ordeal it is facing. She suffered as a result of the earthquake that struck her recently.
