Almost two years after his death, his daughter Lola Zidi, born in 1986 from the union with Hélène Zidi, daughter of Claude Zidi, released her first novel.
In
Princess Autonomous
(Éd. Fayard), she mixes fiction with her memories and reveals the existence of a hidden sister.
Kristophy was born four months before Lola, but Commissioner Moulin's interpreter never recognized her.
“My mother always told me that I had a sister my age.
On the other hand, my father never mentioned it to me before dinner when I was 16.
Between two courses, he told me:
“Lola, you have a sister.
You have a few months apart, her name is Kristophy”
,
says Lola Zidi in
Paris Match
.
“Mom never hid it from me.
But it was all very abstract.
It took a good teenage crisis for me to ask for more explanations, that I demand to meet, in the flesh, the one I had only seen on TV.
I wanted to know my roots, my parent, to get answers.
It took years
,” adds Kristophy.
“This moment of intimacy remains etched in my memory”
Kristophy, Yves Renier's daughter
Father and daughter meet for the first time in 2002.
“I am 16 years old.
I arrive early at the restaurant in Courchevel, my heart beating.
I'm waiting for him at the bar.
Suddenly, I see him.
He emanates a charisma, a remarkable power.
He's still a hell of a guy!
I'm disturbed to see her there, in front of me.
I don't know what to say, what to do.
He approaches, kisses me, steps back, stares at me and says:
“It's crazy how much you look like my sister...”
,
relates Kristophy.

Despite this meeting, Yves Rénier and the young girl then only exchange calls or messages.
And it's only years later that they finally see each other again.
“I saw him for the second and last time at 30.
[...] I called him.
He immediately gave me an appointment in a mixing studio.
To my surprise, he introduced me to his team as his daughter.
We spent a long time together and then he offered me dinner at his house to meet his wife and children.
After the meal, I accompanied him to walk the dogs.
We were chatting about everything and nothing when he reminisced with my mother.
This moment of intimacy remains etched in my memory”
, underlines Kristophy.
