This evening, a batch of food and relief items provided by the people of As-Suwayda governorate to the earthquake-affected people arrived in Lattakia, received by the Syrian Trust for Development team.
Nabih Bakri, head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of As-Suwayda, said in a statement to SANA reporter: The initiative, which was titled "From the Family...to the Family," came with the inspiration of the people and the direction of the Governor of As-Suwayda to stand by those affected by the earthquake that affected Lattakia, check on them and see their needs to provide what they need. He was able to help because their wounds are our wounds, stressing that the Syrians who have withstood more than 12 years of war, unjust siege and economic sanctions are able to revive the people and their wise leadership.
In his turn, the Director of the Syrian Trust for Development in Lattakia, Rani Saqr, stated that what we see today of solidarity among the Syrians who came to help each other is not at all strange to this authentic people, whose good nature the years of war could not change, but rather increased their familiarity, love and solidarity, adding: The distribution of aid takes place according to shelter needs.
