Neu-Ulm – On Thursday, February 9th, the police headquarters in Swabia South/West informed about a fire that occurred late on Wednesday evening, February 8th, in Neu-Ulm.

A container that had been used as a corona test center burned out completely.

Corona test center burned down: police assume intent

According to a police press release, around 11:15 p.m. local residents reported a fire in a container that was being used as a corona test center.

The local fire brigade responded immediately, but when they arrived at the scene, the container was already fully engulfed in flames.

Arson also in the Bavarian town of Marklkofen, where an empty tent accommodation for refugees was set on fire.

The emergency services then managed to extinguish the flames.

However, it burned out completely, reports the police.

However, since he was alone in a parking lot, there was no risk of the fire spreading to surrounding buildings.

Subsequent investigations at the site revealed that the fire had presumably been set intentionally.

High property damage after container fire: police are looking for unknown perpetrators

According to the police, the fire caused property damage of 12,000 euros.

The volunteer fire brigades in Neu-Ulm and Burlafingen were deployed with 21 forces.

The investigations were carried out by officers from the Neu-Ulm Police Inspectorate and the Memmingen Criminal Investigation Service.

The specialist commissariat of the Neu-Ulm Criminal Police Inspectorate is now taking over the further investigations.
