Budapest, Stockholm, SANA- The Syrian community in Hungary organized a donation campaign to support those affected by the earthquake.

Members of the Syrian community in Hungary organized a donation campaign to support those affected by the earthquake in their homeland, Syria. Dozens of them flocked to the headquarters of the Syrian Embassy in Budapest to contribute to this campaign.

The people of the community expressed their full solidarity with their homeland, Syria, to face the repercussions of the earthquake that struck it, calling for lifting the unjust Western blockade imposed on it.

Dr. Tammam Asaad, an expatriate doctor in Hungary, said, "Our feelings are with our people in Syria, and we are working hard to send a message to the whole world about the need to lift the unjust siege on our country, and we will, with the members of the Syrian community and the Syrian embassy in Budapest, do everything we can to alleviate the suffering of our brothers."

The branch of the National Union of Syrian Students in Hungary, in coordination with the embassy, ​​also organized a solidarity stand in front of the embassy, ​​with the participation of Syrian students in Hungary, the International Democratic Youth Union, representatives of the Arab Community Association in Hungary, a forum for Syria and a number of Hungarians.

The participants in the stand called on the international community to exert the necessary pressure to lift the illegal unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States and its Western partners on Syria, which prevent the arrival of the necessary international aid to deal with the repercussions of the earthquake that struck it.

For his part, the Syrian ambassador to Budapest, Bashar Samara, expressed his thanks to the group of students, members of the community, and Arab and Hungarian friends, stressing the demands to lift the unjust Western blockade on Syria to face the repercussions of the earthquake.

In Sweden, Chargé d'Affairs at the Syrian Embassy in Stockholm, Tamim Malko, called, during a meeting with heads and representatives of expatriate bodies and activities in Sweden, to mobilize all capabilities and efforts to face the repercussions of the earthquake that struck Syria, and to contribute to alleviating the suffering of the affected countrymen.

During the meeting, they discussed mechanisms and efforts to collect cash and in-kind donations, and the difficulties that these efforts face in order to work to overcome them, especially in light of the immoral, illegal and inhuman unilateral coercive measures imposed on Syria by the United States and the West, whose effects and repercussions on the Syrian people must be exposed, in particular In light of this natural disaster that befell him, leading to the lifting of these sanctions and procedures on Syria.

For their part, the heads and representatives of the expatriate activities affirmed their full readiness to make all possible efforts in the context of this national relief campaign, in coordination and cooperation with the embassy, ​​and to contribute to alleviating the pain and suffering of the afflicted people of their country as a result of this disaster.
