Melun: the alleged author of an ambush on Wannonce betrayed by his DNA

2023-02-09T07:45:12.083Z

It was thanks to the discovery of clothing at the scene that the police were able to identify one of the attackers of a man who thought he was coming to

DNA has spoken.

Twenty-one months after the attack on a client who came to Melun to meet an escort-girl, or so he believed, one of the alleged perpetrators could be identified thanks to his genetic fingerprint.

He has just been arrested.

Eighteen years old, minor at the time of the facts, he will be judged on March 16 next by the judges of the children's court.

The case dates back to May 2021. A Parisian then aged 33 and residing in the 18th arrondissement of the capital went to the Wannonce site.

In the meetings section, he thinks of stalling an appointment with an escort-girl.

The address given is 40, rue Jean-Moulin in Melun, in the Almont district.

The story does not say if this client is single, married or feeling lonely.

In any case, he goes there, enters the hall.

But there, instead of meeting a dream creature, he finds himself face to face with two fellows who demand his money.

He has little choice because one threatens him with a knife, the other with a gas.

He reacts anyway.

A fight breaks out.

The client got away with ten days of total incapacity for work (ITT).

At the time, the police succeeded in arresting one of the two sixteen-year-old attackers.

But not the other.

She still recovers a piece of clothing left behind by the famous accomplice on the run.

"A lot of customers assaulted and robbed do not dare to file a complaint"

Investigators found elements to identify the suspect's DNA.

They check in their file.

This DNA corresponds to that of a Melunais born in June 2004 and already known to their services.

Arrested and taken into custody, the young eighteen-year-old denies the facts.

Heard again, his accomplice, originally from Vaux-le-Pénil, recognizes the facts, and even five ambushes in the same style.

40, rue Jean-Moulin has several times been used as an address to beat up and rob Wannonce customers.

But there, the investigators do not find traces of complaints corresponding to the statements of the young person.

"This shows that a lot of assaulted and robbed customers do not dare to file a complaint," says a source close to the investigation, who nevertheless notes a decrease in these ambushes.
