Parties and unions from Yemen, Egypt and Lebanon express their solidarity with Syria due to the earthquake

The Joint Meeting Parties in Yemen called for lifting the unjust Western blockade on Syria, to face the repercussions of the earthquake that it was exposed to, stressing that this blockade prevents the arrival of medicines, medical devices and equipment for removing rubble.

In a statement, a copy of which SANA received, the parties affirmed their solidarity with Syria following this earthquake, which caused human damage and destruction of residential buildings, expressing their condemnation of the unjust US-Western blockade imposed on Syria and calling for its immediate lifting.

In addition, a member of the Supreme Political Council in Yemen, Muhammad Saleh Al-Nuaimi, described the Western blockade imposed on Syria as a historical crime, calling for standing by the Syrian people in their ordeal, following the disaster of the earthquake.

Al-Nuaimi said in an exclusive statement to SANA's correspondent in Sana'a: We in Yemen consider this Western blockade an international crime against humanity and the rights of life.

Al-Nuaimi denounced the positions of some international bodies and organizations that claim humanity, for not carrying out their legal and moral duty towards the catastrophe that occurred in Syria, as well as criticizing the world's submission to the illegal Western blockade imposed on Syria.

In Cairo, the Egyptian Medical Syndicate announced its solidarity with Syria following the earthquake disaster, stressing that it opened the door for donations, in coordination with the Egyptian Ministries of Health and Foreign Affairs, to provide the necessary medical aid and prepare relief and medical convoys to be sent to Syria.

Dr. Khaled Amin, a member of the Council of the Doctors Syndicate and the rapporteur of the Egypt Atta Committee, pointed out the preparation of aid, including medicines and medical supplies, to be delivered to the Syrian people.

Amin said in a special statement to SANA reporter in Cairo: We extend our sincere condolences and sympathy to all the victims of the devastating earthquake in Syria, and we pray for recovery for all the injured, and we seek to provide all available support methods and the needs of medicines and relief materials.

In addition, an official delegation from the Egyptian Medical Syndicate visited the Syrian embassy in Cairo, and offered condolences and sympathy to the earthquake victims.

The delegation discussed with the head of the Syrian delegation to Egypt, Ambassador Bassam Darwish, the needs of the Syrian people in terms of medical and relief aid, and how to deliver it to the afflicted inside Syria, and the possibility of Egyptian doctors traveling in some medical specialties to Syria, to contribute to rescue cases.

The head of the Egyptian Doctors Syndicate, Dr. Hussein Khairy, indicated during the meeting that what happened is a humanitarian catastrophe that requires the concerted efforts of all sincere efforts, especially between Egypt and Syria due to the clear popular bond between them, pointing out that the time is now the time to provide humanitarian support, which is the message of all doctors in the world. .

For his part, Ambassador Darwish said in a statement to SANA reporter: We appreciate the Egyptian efforts for actual solidarity with the Syrian state, and we appreciate the moves taken by Egyptian doctors, through their union, to provide medical support to the earthquake victims.

Darwish added: Syria appreciates all the efforts and moves made by the brothers, which express a real stand with the Syrian state.

In Lebanon, the Women and Family Affairs Committee of the Resistance Action Front announced sending material and in-kind aid to Syria to mitigate the effects of the earthquake.

The committee said in a statement: It is out of a sense of fraternal responsibility and an affirmation of the fateful cohesion between the two brotherly peoples, the Lebanese and the Syrian, and to heal the bleeding wounds, the victims, and the injured as a result of the earthquake that struck Syria besieged by the American administration of evil. Medical supplies, winter clothes, and other available supplies to be distributed to the needy, and to treat their wounds.

The committee called on all charitable, civil and humanitarian associations and well-to-do Lebanese families to extend a helping hand and immediate assistance to save their Syrian brothers and sisters.
