School Health provides care for families in schools in Aleppo and Lattakia

To mitigate the repercussions and effects of the earthquake, the school health teams at the Ministry of Education provide physical and psychological health care to the affected families who are in schools that have been approved as shelters in the governorates of Aleppo and Lattakia.

The Director of School Health at the Ministry of Education, Dr. Hatoon Al-Tawashy, explained in a statement to SANA that the central school health team visited 11 schools in the city of Lattakia, distributed in the areas of Al-Raml Al-Janoubi, Al-Mashrou’ Al-Asher and Al-Saliba, in addition to visiting two schools in the city of Jableh by the Jableh clinic team. School tours, examining residents, and providing them with appropriate medication and psychological support.

According to Al-Tawashi, the central school health team in Aleppo governorate visited five schools in the areas of Masaken Hanano, Al-Sakhour, and Baghdad Station, and reassured the health status of the 1,180 families there, most of whom are children.

Disease cases were examined, and medical treatment was provided to them, pointing out that the school health teams are working to distribute chlorine and soap to all schools approved as shelters in Aleppo and Lattakia, and to ensure the availability of clean and safe water in them.
