The Ahl al-Sham initiative, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and the Governorate of Rural Damascus, sent a relief aid convoy to the governorates affected by the earthquake, carrying about 20 tons of foodstuffs, clothing, and medical materials.
The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Muhammad Saif al-Din, confirmed that the directors of affairs in all governorates have been instructed to deliver the aid that is provided to those affected in particular and to record it according to reports sent immediately for audit, indicating that the ministry is working in cooperation with associations to secure the largest possible number of various aids for those affected.
In his turn, the Governor of Rural Damascus, Safwan Abu Saadi, stated that donations have been collected for those affected with more than 5 billion pounds since yesterday, and the Higher Committee for Relief and Development will be supported through them, in addition to collecting in-kind donations, as they are received through committees and securing means of transportation to deliver them to those affected, pointing out that they will be sent Another convoy tomorrow.
