Popular and official activities in Daraa Governorate announced today the launch of the Hawran initiative, to help families affected by the earthquake in a number of Syrian governorates.
And within an expanded meeting in the hall of the Arab Cultural Center in the city of Daraa today, which included the various social segments and under the slogan “Syria is one family,” the activities began to collect donations and deposit them in a special account within the Central Bank branch, provided that the NGOs collect in-kind donations to send them in an organized manner to the affected governorates.
The Governor of Daraa, Eng. Louay Kharita, said: We seek to alleviate the suffering of the afflicted through a joint effort between civil activities and government institutions, while the Secretary of the Arab Socialist Baath Party branch, Hussein Al-Rifai, indicated that Syria is undergoing an ordeal as a result of the siege and the earthquake, and from this standpoint the people of Hauran are calling to help their families. in the affected governorates.
The Director of the Awqaf, Ahmad al-Sayadi, said: The people of Hauran are part of this country, and its children have chosen to remain steadfast in it. They are working today as one family to help the people in the affected governorates, and they are also appealing to the international community to break the siege imposed on the Syrian people.
Archbishop Majd Al-Jawlan said: The extent of the damage that affected our people in a number of governorates is great, and today the people of Hauran are calling to alleviate their suffering through material and in-kind assistance, while Father Jeries Rizk stressed the importance of giving and benevolence under these circumstances.
