The residents of the Golan woke up this morning to white carpets of snow, and after assessing the situation in the area, it was decided that classes would not be held in schools in some settlements.
The weather today will continue to be rainy with snow in Hermon, in the Golan in the northern mountains and in the center with a chance of snow in the higher neighborhoods of Jerusalem.

The IDF delegation rescued a young woman from the ruins in Turkey - the Turkish media reports that the IDF delegation in Karamanmarsh rescued a 23-year-old young woman alive from the ruins of her home during the night.
According to the reports, the Israeli delegation was called by locals who heard noises in the ruins and at the end of a 4 and a half hour operation they managed to get her out alive.
The father of the family thanked the IDF. Turkey updated this morning that the official death toll in the earthquake rose to 6,234 people. In neighboring Syria, which suffered tremendous damage in the earthquake, the death toll rose to 2,530 this morning, the total death toll in the disaster now stands at 8,764.
A woman was pronounced dead at a nursing home - and was found breathing at a funeral home.
An 82-year-old woman was pronounced dead at a nursing home in New York state, but three hours later at a funeral home, she was found breathing.
The incident happened a few days after a nursing home in the state of Iowa was fined just because of such an incident!
The woman was pronounced dead at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, taken to a funeral home at 1:30 p.m. and found breathing at 2:09 p.m., according to police.
The woman, whose identity has not been revealed, was rushed to the hospital, and so far no further information has been released regarding her condition.
The case was transferred for investigation.
