The Syrian Embassy in Baghdad called on the Syrian community in Iraq to contribute to helping those affected by the earthquake that struck Syria last Monday.
The embassy said in an appeal, a copy of which was received by SANA correspondent in Baghdad: “Based on the spirit of national unity that brings together the people of the one Syrian nation, and within the framework of the emergency action plan announced by the Syrian government to mobilize all national energies and capabilities to provide relief to our people affected in Syria by the devastating earthquake, the embassy learns The people of the community open the door for making material contributions at its headquarters.
The Syrian Embassy in China also opened the door for donations and called on the community to contribute to alleviating the suffering of their countrymen as a result of the earthquake.
The Syrian ambassador in Beijing, Muhammad Hassanein Khaddam, called on the community members to donate and cooperate with the embassy in order to help alleviate this difficult ordeal caused by the earthquake, pointing to coordination with the Chinese side at all levels to reach the best results in helping the victims of the earthquake.
Several Syrian embassies abroad called on members of expatriate communities and activities to donate to help those affected by the earthquake.
