The United States has announced that it will consider taking measures against entities related to the Chinese military, which supported the penetration of the spy balloon into the airspace of the United States - this is what the White House announced today (Thursday).
Additionally, the US State Department stated that after an investigation it was officially proven that the balloon, which entered the airspace of the United States last week, definitely belongs to the "People's Liberation Army" of China.
In response to the findings of the investigation, today the American House of Representatives supported a resolution condemning the balloon penetration, stating that it was a "brazen violation of the sovereignty of the United States".
The resolution does not lead to immediate action, but shows that Republican and Democratic members of Congress are united in condemning the action.
The House of Representatives also announced that it denounces "the efforts of the Chinese Communist Party to deceive the international community through false claims about its intelligence gathering campaigns

The Chinese Foreign Ministry said in response that it was a weather balloon that had deviated from its course, and accused the United States of excessive pressure.
The American Deputy Secretary of State, Wendy Sherman, said today that the spy balloon is "another sign of Beijing's efforts to reshape the international order. Last week, the American people saw the latest example of this reality."
In a hearing before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Sherman said the United States would continue to prevent China from exploiting American technology to enable its own military modernization.

Officials said that after the balloon was intercepted over the Atlantic Ocean, much of the evidence remained in the deep sea.
"We did not detect any type of energetic or offensive material," said one FBI official, when asked whether explosives or other harmful components were detected from the balloon.
It was also reported that there is no more information regarding the location of the production of the balloon components, but that when discovered, this information could be used for intelligence purposes and even criminal charges.
