The Director of Water Resources in Homs, Eng. Ismail Ismail, confirmed that the water facilities and dams in the governorate, including “stations – drains – channels – gates” are in a sound condition and have not been exposed to any abnormal phenomena to date.
Ismail pointed out that the technical personnel of the Directorate have detected all these facilities, and are monitoring them around the clock to intervene quickly in the event of any abnormal situation, and to move to the alternative plan.
Ismail denied all that was circulated on social media regarding the existence of cracks in the Martyr Basil al-Assad Dam “Zeta”, stressing that it is untrue, and that members of the Directorate are present at the site to monitor around the clock.
