Six people were killed and 23 others were injured when a four-storey residential building collapsed in Damanhour, Buhaira Governorate, northern Egypt.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in the governorate, Dr. Hani Mustafa Jumaa, said: “The number of victims in the collapse of a house in the city of Damanhour as a result of a gas cylinder explosion rose to 6 people, while the number of injured reached 23 people.”
In turn, Wahdan Al-Sayed, Director of the Crisis and Disaster Management Department in the governorate, said that the collapsed facilities committee was convened, which decided to evacuate 9 residential buildings adjacent to the collapsed building from residents in the interest of their lives, indicating that the executive agencies intensified their efforts to remove the effects of the collapsed building and raise the accumulation of rubble in cooperation with the civil protection teams. .
