Latakia - SANA
The sixth Iranian plane arrived at Latakia International Airport today, carrying 19 tons of relief aid for the earthquake-affected people in Syria, provided by the Iranian people and government.
Ali Reza Fadavi, the cultural attaché of the Iranian embassy in Lattakia, told SANA reporter that the aid includes tents and food and relief materials to meet the needs of the people in the affected areas, pointing out that this is the sixth batch of humanitarian aid provided by Iran to the Syrian people, and that the Iranian air bridge will continue to deliver. Delivering everything needed by the Syrian brothers following the earthquake that destroyed large areas of the country, leaving great losses in lives and public and private property.
Fadavi pointed out that the five Iranian planes that were previously sent were transporting Iranian teams of experts specialized in relief work, in addition to the medical, food and relief materials that people need in such disasters.
Fadavi stressed that Iran, which has supported the Syrian people throughout the Syrian crisis, will continue to provide all forms of support to the Syrian brothers until Syria fully recovers from the effects of this catastrophe, and the pressures and unjust siege imposed by the United States of America and the Western powers allied with it will not prevent it from extending a hand of humanitarian assistance to the Syrian people with all their might.
