Two new complaints will be filed in the Buitoni case.
The presence of
Escherichia coli
bacteria in frozen pizzas from the Fraîch'Up range by Buitoni, a brand belonging to Nestlé, has caused the death of two children and the hospitalization of dozens of others, some of whom have suffered serious liver damage, kidneys, heart and brain.
The two girls aged 7 and 11 at the origin of these new complaints suffered from kidney pain requiring hospitalization for one, and acute gastroenteritis for the other, reveal our colleagues from France Info.
If the children no longer have any sequelae from this incident today, their parents are filing a complaint for "
endangering the lives of others through lack of imprudence, negligence, or breach of an obligation of prudence or security provided for by law or regulation
" and for "
aggravated deception
".
The complaints are filed with the health center of the Paris prosecutor's office, against Nestlé and the frozen pizza production site, in Caudry, in the North.

According to the lawyer for the two families interviewed on France Info, the North factory produced pizzas without having the health approval essential for this activity.
The lawyer at the bar of Montpellier also believes that there have been serious shortcomings in terms of health control.
Last September, the lawyer for the 55 victims and 48 families of the Buitoni food scandal, Me Pierre Debuisson, filed a summons for “ gross negligence
” with the Nanterre court
